As a parent living on the Saanich Peninsula, I am always looking for local things to entertain my whole family. This summer, my son and I were delighted to experience the new Iroquois Park in Sidney.
This playground / waterpark opened on Canada Day and has quickly become a hot hang out for kids and families. Iroquois Park has it all: a full playground including swings, a slide, and climbing apparatus, a duck pond for sitting beside or strolling around, full tennis courts and basketball hoops, adjacent open fields, and full washrooms! But, the best part? A water park! With a clever design in the shape of a whale, kids control the water with an on/off switch and have an absolute blast tearing through the variety of spurts and spouts. What a great way to escape the heat!
This safe, secure park was such a wonderful addition to Sidney and to our Peninsula. With young families growing in our community, it is truly important to make sure that their needs are being met on a local level! Enjoy the park yourself, at the corner of Ocean Avenue and 5th Street in Sidney, BC.
