For most families, summer marks the end of enduring school work, demanding extra-curricular activities, long work days and never-ending household chores and errands – not to mention, cold, dreary weather! Summer is the time to recharge and relax before the season changes and the madness begins… yet again. The weather is nicer and days are longer, giving us more time to appreciate our serene environment and invest in the well-being of our family. So, how can you encourage a time of recharge for the whole family this summer? Make your visit to Panorama Recreation Centre part of your routine!
There’s no better time than summer to cool off in our 16,000 square foot Aquatic Complex! With many exciting features, including an accessible waterslide tower, Greater Victoria’s tallest and longest waterslide, and a 16 meter long/4 meter high inflatable crocodile named Spike, we’re prepared to keep your family entertained during daily Everyone Welcome swims!
Need to cool off even more? We’re opening the doors to our arenas in August for weekend Everyone Welcome skates. Bring your family and friends for fun, music and games. Brushing up on your skating skills? Instructors will be available to give you some tips! Skate and helmets available for rent.
For kids looking to fill their days (or half of their days!) with exciting activities, we’ve got an excellent variety of summer camp programs for all ages! To accommodate the interests, needs and abilities of all of the youth in our community, we’ve carefully designed our program selection so that you can customize your very own summer camp experience. Interested in Geocaching but also want to improve your golf skills? Head to Greenglade Community Centre where you can try Wilderness & Explore Camp in the morning and SNAG Golf Camp in the afternoon! Are you an aspiring Lifeguard but also want to try something new? Join us at Panorama Recreation Centre for Badminton Camp in the morning and Junior Lifeguard Camp in the afternoon. The choice is yours and it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3!
A healthy family is attributed to higher productivity at work and school, so invest in YOUR family’s health and well-being this summer and you’ll be ready to face September with full force!
