You have come to the right place to get out in nature on the water side! A Paddle in the Park Kayaking offers guided kayak tours to paddlers of every experience level. We are fortunate to be located close to a cluster of gulf islands and islets just a few minutes paddle from our dock. These nearby gulf islands provide the ideal location for paddling about and exploring the shallow waters and shorelines. Not only are the islands home to many marine and terrestrial mammal and bird species, but they provide supreme paddling conditions - they are protected from wind and have many small channels to explore.

Whale Watching

The Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre is a not-for-profit aquarium and marine education facility that provides a ‘hands on, hands wet’ experience for people of all ages. Our award-winning Centre houses over 22 large scale underwater habitats teaming with the flora and fauna of our local Salish Sea, from microscopic plankton to a Giant Pacific Octopus. We operate as the friendly face of science by offering relevant programming that encourages visitors to connect with the oceans' ecosystem through engagement, education, and awareness. The Centre is fully wheelchair accessible, and open 7 days a week starting at 10am. We have been growing grapes for over 12 years and our 3 vineyards are the supplier to our Starling Lane Winery started in 2004. We are the proud recipients of the Crystal Award for Business Excellence.

Symphony Vineyard was established on land which has been farmed by our family for more than 50 years. Once a berry farm, we now grow Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, and Leon Millot. All of Symphony’s wines are produced from our vineyard or from neighboring vineyards on the Saanich Peninsula. We offer tastings and wine sales from Spring (May) through Fall weekends from 11 to 5. We are also open Fridays from June through August from 11.30 – 2.30 p.m. Come for a local lunch! We offer an array of local cheeses, and charcuterie at our deli counter, along with many other local specialties including our own farm made chutneys, wine jellies, and jams made from our own farm fruit. Enjoy a glass of wine and lunch in our picnic area with great views over the vineyard and valley.
