Butchart Gardens, The

The Butchart Gardens is a privately owned 55 acre display garden located on the Saanich Peninsula just 35 minutes north of downtown. Highlights of the Summer season include the Rose Garden with over 250 varieties of roses, eco-friendly boat tours, an extensive perennial border, Night Illuminations, evening entertainment every night in July and August, a dazzling Fireworks show with both aerial and ground displays choreographed to show tunes (Saturdays in July and August). The visit won’t be complete without a stop in the Seed & Gift Store filled with unique gifts and souvenirs, or a snack or meal in one of the on-site restaurants.
