Prince of Whales Whale Watching

Starting in 1994, Prince of Whales’ owner Alan McGillivray operated a small boat (aptly named the “Prince of Whales”) that alternated between cargo runs and whale watching trips among the Gulf Islands of British Columbia. Now, with 12 vessels, locations in both Victoria and Vancouver, and almost 50 staff in peak season, we are the largest whale watching and eco-adventure company on the West Coast of Canada.

As part of the Pacific Whale Watching Association, we are proud leaders in responsible whale watching, and have a strong passion for educating guests from all over the world about the wonders and the fragility of the Salish Sea
